FRUITS,CEREALS,AND VEGETABLES.
A Blessing in Fresh Fruits.
Those living in countries where fresh fruit can be obtained
during a large part of the year should awake to the blessing they have in this
fruit.The more we depend upon the fresh fruit just as it is plucked from the
tree the ,the greater will be the blessing.It would be healthful for us to do
less cooking and to eat more fruits in its natural state,people should be
taught to eat freely of the fresh grapes,apples,peaches,pears,berries,
and all other kinds of fruit that can be
obtained.In winter countries fruits should be prepared for these season by
canning ,using glass as far as possible radher than tin.
Fruits as a health
giving agency should not be eaten after a full meal but is best consumed on
their own.Care should be taken that the fruits for consumption are of the best
quality and not showing any slight sign of decay but are sound and unaffected
by any disease or decay.More people die by eating decayed fruits and vegetables
which ferment in the stomach and result in blood poisoning.
